This government experience was followed with over 17 years in midlevel and executive management positions in small start-up/large multinational medical device companies.  Market responsibilities included United States, EU, South America, Canada, Japan and South Korea. Barry has extensive experience with product development and FDA negotiations of US regulatory strategy (EUA, DeNovo 510(k) with clinical data, Breakthrough Designation, etc.). In the area of diagnostics this experience includes diagnostic devices for COVID-19, diagnostics using biomarkers in sweat, diagnostics using breath (diabetes and lung cancer), measurement of radiation exposure, and diagnosis of stroke.  He has written multiple 510(k)s, IDEs, and PMAs in cardiovascular,  orthopedic/sports medicine, spine, general surgery, gastroenterology, neurology/neurosurgery, and Ob/Gyn. Technologies embedded in these products included Machine Learning/AI, 3D Printing, and Software.

Silvia is a highly experienced health and tech professional with over 15 years of expertise leading projects for the development and implementation of innovative technologies and digital health services, both in hospital and corporate settings such as Hospital Sant Pau, Indiba and Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. She earned both a BS and MS in Biomedical Engineering and MBA.

I hold a PhD in Biomedicine from UPF, with a specialization in epidemiology, public health, and cardiorespiratory physiotherapy. Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to teach and conduct research at institutions such as Cantaln Institute of Oncology, TecnoCampus-UPF and the University of Manresa. Today, I lead Health Projects and Research at The Ricky Rubio Foundation, where I bring together my professional expertise and my personal experience as a lung cancer patient; a perspective that deeply shapes the way I understand and approach health.

Daniele Lezzi has a Ph.D on Computer Engineer from University of Lecce. Since 2008, he has been a researcher at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC), a world-renowned research center specializing in high-performance computing and data analysis, home to MareNostrum5, one of the world's most powerful supercomputers, within a European supercomputing collaboration that includes, among others, LEONARDO at CINECA.

Natalia Cullell is post-doctoral fellow who graduated in Human Biology in 2014 from Pompeu Fabra University (Barcelona, Spain), achieving an average grade of 9.13 and receiving 22 distinctions. Subsequently, she was granted a scholarship to pursue a Master's in Pharmaceutical and Biotechnological Industry at the same University. Natalia obtained her Doctorate in Medicine and Translational Research in June 2023 with Excellent grade and Cum laudem distinction.
Since 2015, she has been working as a genetist researcher and lab manager at Fundació Docència i Recerca Mútua Terrassa, contributing to the Mutua Neuroscience group led by Dr. Jerzy Krupinski as the principal investigator. Additionally, she collaborates with the Neurovascular Pharmacogenetics and Genomics group at the Sant Pau Research Institute, under the leadership of Dr. Israel Fernández Cadenas and in the Life Science Department from the Metropolitan Manchester University, under the supervision of Prof. Carol Ainley, holding an agreement with these Institutions. Her primary area of study centers around the use of omic technologies in complex diseases. It includes genetics, epigenetics, and pharmacogenetics of neurovascular diseases. She has collaborated on up to 15 distinct funded projects funded, leading as principal investigator four of them, including the recently awarded project by the Barcelona Council "Clima Project" in the call for young and emerging research projects. Throughout this period, she has participated in courses and conferences within the genetics, epigenetics and neurovascular diseases field. She has presented at international conferences with 10 oral presentations. Recently, she has received the Young Investigator Award for her presentation in the European Stroke Organisation Conference (ESOC) 2024. Additionally, Natalia has instructed the "Genetics and Neurology" class in the Clinical Neurology Training Course organized by the Catalan Society of Neurology for neurology residents. She has also been an instructor in a course organized by the Spanish Consortium for the Study of Cerebral Infarction Genetics (GENESTROKE) and has conducted pharmacogenetics classes for pharmacy students at Ramón Llull University.
Natalia has contributed to more than 55 scientific publications (Google scholar: https://acortar.link/4XMNcq), eight of which she authored as the first author. Furthermore, she authored a book chapter on generating genetic scores in the "Stroke Biomarkers" book. Her H-index is 21 (Scopus). Natalia Cullell actively participates in the International Stroke Genetics Consortium (ISGC), the Spanish Stroke Genetics Consortium (GENESTROKE), and the Carlos III Health Institute's RETICS network (Ricors-Ictus).

Neuróloga especializada en enfermedades inflamatorias del sistema nervioso central y Coordinadora de la Unidad de Neurología Autoinmune en el Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau. Su investigación se ha centrado en la esclerosis múltiple (EM), el estudio de la vía visual como modelo de neurodegeneración y la identificación de biomarcadores con valor diagnóstico y pronóstico. Tras desarrollar su trayectoria en un centro de referencia internacional (Cemcat, Hospital Vall d’Hebron), actualmente lidera un grupo de investigación emergente en el Institut de Recerca del Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau, con el objetivo de consolidar una línea de investigación estable en neurología autoinmune y biomarcadores en patologías del SNC. Su experiencia en el liderazgo de proyectos competitivos, su participación en redes internacionales y su contribución al desarrollo de los nuevos criterios diagnósticos de la EM refuerzan su trayectoria en este campo. En ese sentido, ha sido investigadora principal de dos proyectos financiados por el Instituto de Salud Carlos III: PI22/01589 y PI17/02162, que han permitido estudiar la vía visual desde las fases iniciales de la EM y han generado resultados clave en el ámbito del diagnóstico precoz y los resultados han sido incorporados en la nueva revisión de los criterios diagnósticos.

Marja Huiskamp is General Manager of Madrid Health Hub, a non-profit organization advancing innovation in digital health. Previously, she served as Chief Communication Officer at Barcelona Health Hub, where she successfully established the organization as a global household name in digital health. Before that, she led human rights initiatives at the Embassy of the Netherlands in Chile. As a dynamic public speaker, Marja is passionate about impactful communication, connecting with audiences, and making a lasting difference where it matters most.

I am a consultant hematologist and head of the inpatient hematology unit at Hospital El Bierzo, Spain. My clinical focus is on improving patient outcomes through innovation and multidisciplinary collaboration. In recent years, I have been leading the development of advanced home-based treatment programs for hematology patients, making Hospital El Bierzo a national reference in this field. Our initiative enables patients to receive complex therapies safely at home, supported by telemedicine, home visits, and coordinated pharmaceutical care. This approach enhances equity, quality of life, and resource efficiency, especially for patients in rural or remote areas. Ellie Foster, PhD is the Co-Director of Education for the Kevin Love Fund. Ellie holds a master’s of science degree in educational psychology from University of Wisconsin-Madison and a PhD in literacy education from University of Colorado at Boulder. Ellie is an advocate for centering creativity, storytelling, and emotional expression in the way schools approach social-emotional learning and trauma sensitive practices. Ellie has supported this approach as a literacy researcher, k-12 teacher educator, high school English teacher, and as an activist for youth experiencing homelessness.

Maria is part of the Open Innovation team in the Digital Transformation department, where she plays a key role in driving and managing innovation initiatives. With a degree in International Relations and a Master's in Public Policies: Social Rights and Equality, she brings a global perspective to her work, enriched by experiences in countries like the USA and Lebanon. Oliver is the Senior Open Innovation Officer at Barcelona Health Hub, where he leverages extensive experience in healthcare, innovation, and digital transformation to position BHH as a leader in the healthcare innovation ecosystem. He has worked across various sectors, including FMCG and Pharma, with experience in Spain, the U.S. (Boston), and the U.K. (London). Oliver holds a master’s degree in digital transformation and has spent several years as a market research and innovation consultant.

Manuel Sans Segarra (born April 25, 1943) is a Spanish physician and former head of Digestive Surgery at the Bellvitge University Hospital. He was a pioneer in the use of laparoscopic surgery in Spain.

Marta has extensive experience in strategic communications, having worked as Head of Protocol and External Relations at the Government of Catalonia and Head of Communications at Cercle d’Economia. She is currently an Associate Professor at Pompeu Fabra University. Marta holds a degree in Advertising and Public Relations and a Master’s in International Relations from IBEI (UAB-UPF-UB).

Jesus Prada Alonso is the CEO of Horus ML. He holds a PhD in Computer Science specializing in Artificial Intelligence, with academic credentials including a dual degree in Computer Science and Mathematics and master's in Computational Intelligence, Applied Mathematics, and Biostatistics. With 13 years of experience as a Data Scientist, he has worked across various sectors before focusing on healthcare since 2018. He is also a professor in the Master in Data Science at IE University. His expertise in leading AI healthcare projects led him to establish Horus ML in 2022 to create innovative machine learning solutions for clinical care.

Sara Toledano Sáez (CEO) is an accomplished leader with a passion for engineering and innovation. Holding a five-year degree in Mechanical Engineering from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, an MSc in Automotive Engineering from the Technical University of Munich, and an MBA, Sara has built a remarkable career bridging technology and business. With over a decade of experience in Spain and Germany, she has led transformative R&D and innovation projects for top-tier companies like AUDI. Her work has been recognized internationally, with three patents to her name. In 2020, she co-founded SYCAI Medical, where she serves as General Manager and President of the Board of Directors, driving the company's vision and strategic growth at the forefront of the medical technology sector.

Mónica, with a Ph.D. in Biochemistry, +20 years of experience in life science research, and a master’s in Medical Innovation and Entrepreneurship, is CEO and co-founder of Manina Medtech. She invented and developed Seedchrony, a non-invasive solution for detecting uterine readiness for embryo transfer in in vitro fertilization treatments. She established successful partnerships with VHIR and private IVF clinics in Barcelona for clinical and economic validation of Seedchrony. Mónica has secured over €2 million in funding and was recognized by the Women Tech EU Award, Academy for Women Entrepreneurs, and Jump Startup for Women in Deeptech.

Michael Lauk has more than 25 years of experience in business as well as research in the healthcare field in Germany and the USA. During his professional career, he co-founded 10 start-ups, most recently a Start-up designing an active implantable device to lower blood-pressure. Since September 2021 he is Chief Digital Officer of B. Braun SE, driving B. Braun’s transformation to a technology company serving the future digital healthcare markets.
Michael earned his PhD in physics in Freiburg and Boston. He is a data scientist and an early mover in the Digital Health arena and seasoned in designing healthcare products and marketing strategies.

Previously, he had 10 years of professional experience in the design and development and quality assurance of sterile non active medical devices in the medical devices industry. With over 25 years of experience in management, technological solutions, and vision sciences, she has led teams of more than 120 people and managed large-scale budgets. In 2023, she was recognized as a Forbes Changemaker, and in 2024, she was named one of the 35 leading Spanish women in technology by Forbes Women Spain. She also won the 2024 Dona TIC Award in the Businesswoman category. In 2025, WIVI VISION was highlighted by Forbes as a standout company.
