Helena Canadell, host, speaker, and communication expert with extensive experience across diverse formats. Since 2008, active in a variety of events: conferences, corporate training sessions, team-building activities, sales events, award ceremonies, dance festivals, and live shows. The television career began in 2003, initially as a choreographer and dancer on shows such as Zona de Ball, Mira Quién Baila, +K Fitness, Pura Magia, Uno de los Nuestros, Fent Trull, Mueve Tu Mente, Tu Cara Me Suena, and Buenafuente. More recently, featured as a reporter and segment host on programs like Saber Vivir (TVE), Terra de Vins, Obert de Nit, and Storybard.

For 19 years he held various top management positions in large companies before founding Mediktor, the most advanced AI-based medical assistant for triage and pre-diagnosis. In addition, he is an angel investor in more than 20 startups. He is an entrepreneur with more than 10 years of real-life experience immersed in the Digital Health Ecosystems in US, Europe and Latin America.

Elena Amat

Manager of the Horta-Guinardó District

Elena Amat is an architect passionate about transforming cities into sustainable, livable, and healthy environments. As Manager of the Horta-Guinardó District, she leads a dedicated team of over 100 professionals across General Services, Citizen and Territory Services, and Technical Services and Licensing. Together, they collaborate with local government teams and city departments to address the needs of residents across 12 neighborhoods, including Guinardó, Carmel, and Horta. With a focus on community-driven projects and innovative urban solutions, Elena is committed to enhancing the quality of life for the district’s citizens through thoughtful planning and sustainable development.

Miquel Rodríguez Planas

Economic Promotion Director

Miquel Rodríguez Planas is the Economic Promotion Director of Barcelona City Council, and is responsible for the executive management is the executive management of economic promotion services, trade, markets, consumption, tourism, International economic promotion, science and universities. He is a graduate of Economics from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, a PDD from IESE, a Master in Management of the Information and Knowledge in Organizations from the UOC and has completed the Master in Public Management from ESADE-UAB-UPF. From 2019 to 2022 he has been Commissioner for 2030 Agenda of Barcelona City Council, last year being Chief of Staff of the First Mayoral Office.
 

Joan Romero

Executive Director

Joan Romero i Circuns, Executive Director of ACCIÓ – Catalonia Trade & Investment (CT&I), was born in Barcelona in 1972. He holds a degree in Economics from the University of Barcelona, a Master’s in Operations Management, and a Diploma DAF in Operations and Innovation from ESADE. After working in banking and consultancy, he joined ACCIÓ, becoming CEO in 2017 and returning as Executive Director in 2021. Under his leadership, ACCIÓ was named IPA of the Year by the Financial Times’ fDi Strategy Awards. He has contributed to key Catalan policy plans and analyses on competitiveness and innovation.
