We are looking at programs to manage population health and improve outcomes, and reduce the cost of care through preventative healthcare with our products and solution. Philips owns the worlds #1 pregnancy app, Pregnancy+ where we are able to reach ~80% of all pregnant women across Europe.
Barcelona Health Hub is thrilled to have you at this largest European congress in digital health. Could you share why you decided to join the Health Revolution Congress?
To truly have an impact on health, innovation more and more relies on collaboration. Events like these allow us to speak to different healthcare providers and experts to network and learn. We’re looking forward to meeting potential new partners and share what we are working on at Philips to see if there are collaboration opportunities.
At the congress, you’re giving the keynote about “Womens Health – Fixing the Inequity Through Preventative Care”. Can you elaborate a bit about your key message?
The keynote highlights the importance of addressing inequalities in healthcare through preventative care, specifically the lack of clinical data and funding in this space. The talk emphasizes that women face unique health challenges, and these challenges are often compounded by factors such as socioeconomic status to help support underserved communities.
We discuss how preventative care can play a critical role in addressing these disparities by promoting early detection and intervention. We also stress the need for healthcare providers to take a patient-centred approach, focusing on the individual needs and preferences of each woman. Overall, the keynote emphasizes the need for a holistic and proactive approach to women’s healthcare, one that focuses on preventative care and addresses the systemic inequalities that have long plagued the healthcare system.
What are you excited about for the Health Revolution Congress?
To meet new people and learn about to the great innovations happening right now. And secondly, to look for partnership opportunities.
Is there anything else you want to share with us?
We’re just very excited to be part of this event. We hope our message to address the lack of solutions in Women’s Health Care resonates with the audience of the Health Revolution Congress and so we can team up to address the issue.
